Chi Kung or Qi Gong is a Chinese movement therapy, similar to other disciplines such as Tai Chi or Reiki. They are founded on the principle of the importance of the correct flow of vital energy (Qi) through the meridians of the body through movement exercises (Gong) that stimulate and unblock the body´s energy system.
In 1955, the Chinese Minsitry of Health officially recognised its therapeutic application and recommended regular practice of this discipline.
